Privacy Policy

This policy is written to be genuinely clear about what we collect and why — not legal boilerplate. It has not been reviewed by an attorney; David, please have one look it over before treating this as final.

What we collect

To book a behind-the-wheel lesson or traffic school class, we collect:

Name, date of birth, email, and phone number
For students under 18: a parent or guardian's name, email, and phone number
A photo of your learner's permit and photo ID (and a parent/guardian's ID, for minors)
A few medical disclosure answers required for driving instruction (e.g., vision, medication, seizure history) — this is standard for any driving school, not something we ask out of general curiosity
An emergency contact name and phone number for each booking
Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number ourselves

Why we collect it

Every piece of information above exists to actually run your lesson or class safely and legally — confirming eligibility, reaching you (or a parent) if plans change, meeting DMV/court requirements for certificates, and processing payment.

How we use it

To schedule and confirm your sessions, including adding them to our internal calendar
To text or call you (or a parent/guardian, for minors) shortly before a session
To send confirmation and reminder emails
To issue DMV/court-required certificates upon course completion
To process payment through Stripe

Who sees it

Your information is visible only to Road Ready staff who need it to run your lesson or class. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties beyond the services that make this site work — Stripe (payment), Google Calendar (scheduling), and our email provider (confirmations/reminders).

Photos for social media

At the end of a behind-the-wheel package, we may ask if it's okay to take a photo of the student with their certificate to share on our website or social media. This is entirely optional, asked separately from everything else, and has zero effect on your enrollment either way.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and account records as long as your account is active, and as needed to meet DMV/court reporting requirements. You can request that your account and associated data be deleted at any time by contacting us — see below.

Minors' information

For any student under 18, a parent or guardian creates and controls the account, and provides consent by signing up. We do not knowingly collect information from a minor without a parent or guardian's involvement.

The photo/social media consent mentioned above is always optional
